On an island on top of the earth, a boy surrounded by boats dreams a dream... what follows is a film poem that reflects spending 3 weeks in 2008 on tour with one of the worlds most enigmatic bands, Sigur Ros. Rather than the epic nature of their previous film 'Heima', 'Vid Spilum Endalaust' (which translates as 'we play endlessly') is an almost abstract portrait of the band. Voices of fans, stylists and other people around the band drift in and out of the soundtrack. Shot on Super 8 and developed by hand in the directors bathroom, this is less a tour film than a distillation of intimate moments and beautiful fragments reflecting the playful and spontaneous (if somewhat shy!) nature of the band.
