In 1965, the Rolling Stones rocked their first-ever Swedish gig and then spent the night partying at a private house in Malmö. Forty years later, a long-forgotten reel of grainy super-8mm footage shot at the party shows the young Stones partying alongside Swedish rock bands, local hipsters, friends and groupies. Like a riff on Michael Apted's Up doc series, ROLLING LIKE A STONE catches up with the aging partygoers to explore four decades' worth of life. Pensioner-to-be Tommy gets his group, The Namelosers, back together for a sold-out reunion show; single dad Ola, a former member of The Gonks, sifts through old love letters from fans; Mona wonders if her former lover Brian Jones would still be alive had she run away with him.
